Each world and property has a default population capacity (or 'pop cap') - the maximum number of people permitted in that dimension, world or property at one time. 

UVIP members can increase the pop cap of their properties and worlds, with the exception of Zabies and Showroom Zabies, which are strictly limited.


UVIP members can also enter properties where the pop cap limit has been reached, allowing the property to go over capacity.

Soft Cap vs Hard Cap

There are two kinds of population capacity - soft and hard. 

The hard cap is the maximum number of people a property can hold. The highest a hard cap can be is 300.


The soft cap is the maximum number of people permitted per dimension within that property. The highest a soft cap can be is 300. Once this limit is reached, a new dimension will open and each new guest will enter the new dimension until it is full and another one opens. People are permitted to jump to a 'full' dimension from the Dimensions menu as long as the hard cap has not been reached.


So, if you have a soft cap of 10 and a hard cap of 40, once 10 people are in a dimension in your property, a new dimension will open up when a new person comes in. Once 40 people total are in your property, no new visitors will be able to enter until someone leaves.



World Cap vs Property Cap

Each world has a pop cap, and each property has a default pop cap. The world pop cap always overrides a property pop cap. For example, if your world's capacity is 100 visitors, and you have 50 visitors in one property and 50 visitors in another property, you will not be able to receive any more visitors in any properties in that world until someone leaves, even if your other properties are empty. Likewise, if you have a world capacity of 100 and a property capacity of 300, you will still only be able to have 100 visitors in your property, because the world will be full at 100 visitors.



Increasing Your World Pop Cap

UVIP members can increase the population capacity of their world by taking the following steps:

  1. Sign into your profile at utherverse.com or redlightcenter.com
  2. Navigate to the Property tab
  3. Choose the world you want to add capacity to from the CHOOSE PROPERTY GROUP drop-down menu
  4. Click the Manage World sub-tab - here you can see what the current population capacity is for your world
  5. Click the Buy More Capacity button
  6. Select how much to increase the capacity by
  7. Select the start date for your capacity increase - capacity increases last 30 days
  8. Click Buy Now

Only UVIP members can increase the capacity of their virtual worlds. If you aren't a UVIP member, you can upgrade by clicking here.




Increasing Your Property Pop Cap

You can 'override' the default pop cap for most properties, however they will still be bound by the capacity restriction of the world they are in. This means that if you select 200 as your hard cap, but your world's hard cap is 100, you will only be able to host 100 visitors in that property at one time.

  1. Sign into your profile at utherverse.com or redlightcenter.com
  2. Navigate to the Property tab
  3. Select the world that your property is in from the CHOOSE PROPERTY GROUP drop-down menu
  4. Find the property you'd like to update, and click Manage
  5. Click the Rules sub-tab
  6. Under the Population Cap Overrides section, enter the new soft and hard caps for your property
  7. Click the Save Settings button
