Red Light Center Support

All props have settings that can be changed in the States tab of the Prop Editor. These are divided into Basic & Advanced Prop States, and Animation States. 

• Prop states effect things like object collision, visibility, and lighting

• Animation states apply movement to an object, such as windswept motions for flags and curtains, or swimming motions for fish

Prop States

Basic States

• Collidable: By default, props have no collision. This means your avatar can walk through them. If you toggle collision on, the object cannot be passed through. 
• Invisible: Toggles whether or not you can see the object
• Unlit: Bypasses lighting in the region so the object is fully lit, independent of any other light sources
• Trigger: Scripts, such as Move To scripts, will be triggered when an avatar passed into the prop. Generally used with a trigger box prop.

Advanced States

• Texture Translucent: If you've applied a texture that has transparent parts, toggle this on to remove edge effects
• Blink Sprite:

• Orthogonal Sprite:
• Textures Unlit: This is the same as the basic state "Unlit" and will light your object independently of any light sources in the room
• Texture Double-Sided: Will apply your texture to both sides of a normally one-sided prop - such as a sign
• Sprite Unlit: Lights a sprite independently of light sources in the room, so that it shows up brighter
• No Z-Buffer:
• Sprite MPEG:
• Sprite Fixed:
• Sprite Only: For an object with a sprite attached, this will make only the sprite visible. This was intended as a workaround for a bug that has since been fixed, and may not always work as intended
• Sex Object:
• Web Page: This is automatically checked when using the web-browser setting in scripts
• Don't Use Mipmaps:
• Art Dev Locked:
• Emissive/Ambient/Diffuse: Adjusts the built-in lighting for the object. Useful if your prop appears slightly too dim, but checking 'unlit' makes it too bright
• Fade: Adjust the transparency of the object

Animation States

Animations are added to props by entering an animation name in the "State" text field in the State tab. 

Animations are applied to the object in a static position. For some animations, such as a waving flag, this is fine, as you want the flag to stay in one place (on its pole!) while it waves. For other animations, such as swimming fish, you may need to use a script, such as "Move Within Bounded Box" script, which will allow the object to move around within a defined space (otherwise your fish will just swim in one spot!)
