RLC offers official wedding registrations and ceremonies by RLC Justices of the Peace (JoP). All types of weddings are permitted in RLC and range from traditional, religious, hand fasting, collaring ceremonies, multiple marriages, group weddings etc. There really is no restriction to the type of ceremony you can have – we’ll leave that up to you and your imagination.


There are three types of weddings offered in RLC: Impromtu, Express, and Standard. 

  • Impromptu Weddings take place right after submitting the form and paying the fees. They're a perfect way to elope!
  • Express Weddings take place at a time designated by RLC Weddings staff. They offer the same ceremony as a standard wedding, but without the added benefit of choosing your own date and time
  • Standard Weddings allow you to choose your own date, time, and venue for the ceremony.


All weddings will be registered officially, and you will be provided with an official marriage certificate.



Impromptu Weddings

Cost is 100 Rays including a UV certificate. Third party certificates cost 50 Rays.


  1. Find a JoP in-world who is willing to perform your ceremony at the designated time
  2. Make sure the Fellowship Chapel or Wedding Garden is not in use. Those are the only venues that Impromtu Weddings can take place at
    • Fellowship Chapel is located at vww://utherverse.vww/vegaschapel
    • Wedding Garden is located at     vww://utherverse.vww/WeddingGarden
  3. Fill out the Express Wedding Event form and submit the fees. You can also access this form by visiting utherverse.com/events, clicking Create Event, and selecting Express Wedding Event
  4. Complete your ceremony immediately after submitting your form and fees. Impromptu wedding applications expire, so don't wait


In the case of a Double or Triple Wedding, where more than one couple is getting married during the same ceremony, each couple is required to complete the Express Wedding Event application and pay the associated fees in order to receive their official certificate and be registered as a Married couple in RLC.



Express Weddings

Cost is 100 Rays including a UV certificate. Third party certificates cost 50 Rays.


Express Weddings are held at predetermined scheduled times. Please visit the Express Weddings page for the current schedule.


  1. Show up at the designated venue one of the scheduled Express Weddings times
  2. Fill out the Express Wedding Event form and submit the fees. You can also access this form by visiting utherverse.com/events, clicking Create Event, and selecting Express Wedding Event
  3. Show the JoP a screenshot of the transaction as proof of fee payment. You can view your transaction history by clicking "Transaction History" on your Social Center home page, under your bank account total
  4. The JoP will marry you and your spouse on the spot. Congrats!


In the case of a Double or Triple Wedding, where more than one couple is getting married during the same ceremony, each couple is required to complete the Express Wedding Event application and pay the associated fees in order to receive their official certificate and be registered as a Married couple in RLC. 



Standard Weddings

Cost ranges from 180-210 Rays: 10 Rays application fee, 150 Rays JoP fee, 20 Rays for a UV/RLC certificate OR 50 Rays for a third-party certificate. This is for RLC-provided services only. If you choose to rent a private venue or hire additional services, they may come with their own fees.


  1. Fill out the Wedding Event form and submit the fees. You can also access this form by visiting utherverse.com/events, clicking Create Event, and selecting Wedding Event
    • Enter your wedding time in Pacific Time
    • The wedding date must be at least 3 full days from the date you submit the form
    • Make sure the owner of the venue you select approves the venue after you submit your application. If the venue is not approved, the application will not be finalized. It is best to arrange this with them before submitting your Wedding Event, as there may be fees and scheduling conflicts to consider. RLC-owned venues such as Blus, Fever, etc. are public and are not subject to fees for use of the venue
    • If the JoP you've selected is not available at the date and time you've chosen, another will be assigned to you. English is the default language of most JoPs should one not be available in your requested language
  2. Make sure your wedding starts at the time you booked. If your Wedding has not started within 30 minutes after the scheduled time, the JoP may call the wedding off and there will be no refund
  3. Your wedding certificate will be requested by the JoP after the ceremony is complete. they will send it to you once it's ready



MAKING CHANGES

You can view and manage your events, including weddings, from utherverse.com/Events/Manager 

  • Charges may apply to a change in JoP after one has been assigned to you.
  • Any changes made to the event will come at a fee of 10 Rays
  • Please update all changes immediately and inform your JoP if the date and time changes
  • The cutoff for making changes is 72 hours before the scheduled date
  • All fees will be taken out of your account immediately
  • Do not change your username before completing the wedding. If you change your username, the JoP will not be able to contact you, as they only have the original on file. We cannot update your username documents or application while it is active


REFUNDS

  • Refunds have to be requested with a copy of the initial transfer via email to events@utherverse.com together with your cancellation
  • You will receive a 50 % refund as long as the Wedding is more than 3 days after the cancellation date
  • There is no refund with less than 3 days notice
  • Calendar fees are non-refundable


If you use a third party Wedding Planner to arrange the Wedding on your behalf, please note that Utherverse cannot be held responsible in the event anything wasn’t arranged proper and within our procedures by your Wedding Planner. Please verify yourself that the Wedding Planner of your choice is comfortable with all Wedding procedures. 



Divorces

Cost is 50 Rays


Divorces are not required in order to get remarried in the event of a split from a previous marriage, or to marry another member of RLC if you are already involved in a marriage (i.e. multiple marriages).  


It is in your responsibility to inform the other party that you are divorcing them.


To request a divorce:

  1. Visit the weddings index here: https://www.utherverse.com/events/weddings/index.html 
  2. Click the 'View my weddings or file divorce' button
  3. Click 'File Divorce' for the wedding
    • If your wedding isn't listed, click 'Your wedding not listed here? click here for more...' then 'File for divorce on a wedding not listed or found here' and fill out the form
  4. Your account will be charged a 50 Rays submission fee immediately

  5. Once all of the above steps have been completed, you will be issued an official Utherverse® Certificate of Divorce. This is usually done within a week or the following Monday after your request. As soon as the certificate has been issued, your Wedding will be marked as divorced (broken heart) on the Wedding list on the Utherverse® Events Website.


Please note that divorce fees are non-refundable and final once requested.
